Welcome to Harmony Week Tasmania

Planning for Harmony Week 2017 is underway! Beginning from 20 March through to 26 March, Harmony Week is a state-wide dedicated to showcasing our differences and acknowledging we all belong.

Coordinated by the Multicultural Council of Tasmania, in partnership with the Tasmanian Government, Harmony Week builds on national Harmony Day, celebrated on 21 March to coincide with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Harmony Week aims to promote unity, understanding and respect for all individuals who call Tasmania home.

Everyone Belongs

The theme for Harmony Week 2017 is ‘everyone belongs'.

The theme is a reminder that Harmony Week is an opportunity for everyone in the community, regardless of difference, to engage and celebrate Australia's diversity.

Wherever we are, in the workplace, at home or undertaking study we can play a role in promoting the benefits of a culturally rich and tolerant community.
